Music to our ears: chat show host Graham Norton plays actress Keeley Hawes her own voice recordings as Lara Croft

Comedy chat show host Graham Norton hosted a very special guest tonight - Lara Croft's most prolific voice actress Keeley Hawes. Hawes has graced the iconic video game character with her charm from 2006 through 2014 (Tomb Raider: Legend, Anniversary, Underworld, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light & Temple of Osiris). The Graham Norton Show borrowed an excerpt from a recording compilation (as extracted by the Music of Tomb Raider) and played the track to the British actress on-air. In the company of Hugh Grant and Meryl Streep, hilarity soon ensues (watch the show segment above).

While not strictly music, MoTR is responsible for the existence of this piece. During the construction of our Community Developed Discography and the digitally remastered Crystal Dynamics Tomb Raider Trilogy soundtracks in 2011, we stumbled across these raw recordings of Hawes and knew immediately it was too magical not to share. The full compilation of what Keeley Hawes had to go through while voicing Lara Croft's incidentals can be experienced below:
